First 5 is pleased to announce the availability of funding for fiscal year July 2011 – June 2012 for licensed child care providers and licensed child care centers to improve quality child care for children ages 0-5 in San Joaquin County. Release for Qualifications (RFQ) Safety Net Initiative

San Joaquin County Children and Families Commission (also known as First 5 San Joaquin) is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for funding programs under the First 5 San Joaquin Safety Net Initiative. The purpose of the funding is to implement safety net services for families with children ages 0-5 . The Initiative states: “First 5 will expand efforts, as funds become available, to create a safety net, to leverage First 5 resources when possible, to assist with the emerging needs that affect children’s well being.” First 5 has allocated $400,000 for this initiative. The mandatory Letter of Intent is due June 10, 2010. The application is available for review by clicking the menu on Funding Opportunities.
